| In partnership with the Apache Junction Unified School District, Children First was developed to help with endeavors that create a better environment for students K-12. It started with the hopes to transform how the community viewed its young people. With the involvement of area businesses, community members, educators and volunteers, Children First was born. |
The focus of this partnership?
To encourage everyone in the community to find ways to help and encourage the children, teens and young adults to succeed in their education and community involvment.
The groups success lies within the community...
"We cannot do this alone," says Liz Langenbach, Director and Chairperson of Children First. "The support and involvement of the entire community is needed to guide our youth in the right direction, to give them opportunites they might not receive elsewhere and to engage them in worth-while efforts that can change them for life."
